We have just added in a bundle option with the “White Hot 2013” dinner programme.

We will be making a charitable donation to the Bolton Wanderers Remembrance Group from every book sold. It’s our way of putting back into the Wanderers family and a worthwhile cause. Please check out their site to see the great and the good they are doing in the local community.

Fanzine back issues listed below aren’t currently available to purchase in the shop but we plan to have that service ready soon. For now, it’s a manual enquiry process and we will arrange the payment and delivery details with you.

The Good

Preston keeper Simon Farnworth a former Wanderer of the wilderness years, couldn’t stop John McGinlay sweeping the penalty home and my life was elevated into a zone of anticipation and excitement. Bruce Rioch had taken us through the door to footballing respectability and I found myself on my knees in the Lever End penalty box looking up to a clear blue sky.

The Bad

Early in the second half Nowak latched on to a through ball and found himself clean through. He then blazed hopelessly over the bar. A cheer went around the ground – it was dripping with irony. It was a moment when an undercurrent of pessimism showed itself and it was a changing of the guard from BWFC 1970s to BWFC 1980s.

The Ugly

Within minutes the fighting had spread to the terracing and the Lever End was a bloodbath, according to the B.E.N., bricks, darts and golf balls were thrown and the St. John’s Ambulancemen were overwhelmed. As were casualty at Bolton Royal Infirmary, with many people, mainly innocent bystanders, suffering headwounds.
